Let me introduce myself
We are Tjitske and Joost, the proud owners of the Veenderij!
History
Our holiday farm, a cherished family possession for three generations, is where Tjitske spent her childhood. In the past, the farm was a multi-purpose space comprising a living area and a barn, where pigs used to grunt and cows now graze peacefully.

A new life
After 30 years of standing empty and falling into disrepair, we – Tjitske and Joost – have taken matters into our own hands to restore this nostalgic farmhouse to its former glory.

The renovation
Given our background in landscaping, we had always dreamt of having our own sawmill to process our own timber. In 2013, after purchasing a sawmill, we set about renovating the farmhouse with great enthusiasm.

During this process, the idea arose not to keep the farm just for ourselves, but to share this unique countryside experience with guests. We invite you to come and enjoy this beautiful setting and hope that you’ll fall just as in love with this place as we have.

The Expansion
Once the farm had found its new purpose, the idea soon arose to let more people enjoy this place. It was with great pleasure that we created two new guesthouses: De Turfstee and De Kleine Stal. Built in the same authentic style, using timber from our own sawmill and with an eye for detail. A lovely addition to De Veenderij, where tranquillity, nature and hospitality come together.
Frequently Asked Questions
De Veenderij can accommodate 10 to 12 people, including babies
De Turfstee can accommodate 6 people, including babies
De Kleine Stal can accommodate 2 people
We aim to provide a peaceful and quiet environment for our guests. For this reason, the property is not available for noisy parties.
You are welcome at De Veenderij and De Turfstee at weekends, midweek and for full weeks.
Guests are welcome at the Kleine Stal every day, but arrivals are not possible on Sundays.
On arrival, we ask you to present valid proof of identity and a fully completed Rental Agreement.
The keys can be handed over in person or via a handy key box.
Yes, the rates include cleaning, bed linen, towels and tea towels.
To ensure the peace and tidiness of our accommodation, we do not allow pets.
